The Little Tree That Stood Tall

In a quiet valley surrounded by mountains, there once grew a tiny tree named Tavi. He wasn’t very big—just a small sapling with a few bright green leaves—but he dreamed of growing tall one day and giving shade to travelers who passed by.

Every day, Tavi listened to the birds sing and watched the bigger trees sway proudly in the wind. “Someday I’ll be strong like them,” he whispered.

Then one autumn day, dark clouds rolled over the mountains. A fierce storm was coming. The wind roared, lightning flashed, and rain poured down in sheets. The big trees groaned and bent, and Tavi trembled.

“I’m too small,” Tavi cried. “What if the storm breaks me?”

Just then, he remembered something the gardener once told him:
“Don’t be afraid, little one. Your roots are strong, and I’ll watch over you. Hold tight to the earth, remember my words, and you’ll make it through.”

So Tavi pressed his roots deeper into the soil. The wind pushed. The rain pounded. But he held on—through the night, through the thunder, through every gust of wind that tried to knock him down.

When morning came, the storm was gone. The valley was quiet again. Many leaves had fallen, and branches lay scattered, but Tavi was still standing. His roots had grown stronger. His leaves glistened in the sunlight.

The gardener came and smiled. “Well done, Tavi,” he said softly. “You didn’t give up. You’ve grown stronger because you stood firm and believed in what I said.”

Tavi rustled his little leaves proudly. He realized that even though the storm was scary, he had never been alone.

Moral Lesson: Jesus tells us that when hard times come, we don’t need to be afraid. He is with us and will protect us. “Not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance, you will secure your lives.” Like Tavi, when we trust God and keep holding on, our faith grows strong—and we find that nothing can truly harm us when we stay rooted in Him.
